Now be ready for some push back from employees / managers on this one!!
Be ready to be made to feel like a criminal also!!

When I tried this at the first Staples. I had two MG5420's loaded in my cart.
They said I couldn't use the coupon for 10 off with this printer... even though
item 136624 is specifically mentioned on the coupon. (Had to point this out to them.)

Then they said I couldn't do the printer trade-in in combination with this printer and
the coupon... although both are listed in their flyer and online. (pointed this out also)

Employee tried to sell me expensive inks... I declined.
Then he tried to sell me the replacement plan. I declined.
His manager was hovering over this whole transaction...

at this point he punched a code and said... "Sell him the plan..." to his employee...
Then he said to me, "I'm gonna save you a ton of money." and punched in
the code for the printer trade-in... (even though I didn't have the printers / in car).

I told the employee I didn't want the replacement plan and that I had two printers
to recycle in my car, so please take off the replacement plan. He wanted to see
the printers before he completed the transaction (which only makes sense), but used
the time to talk to his manager again, while I went to get them.

When I returned, they had decided they were going to sell the printers to me along
with the printer trade-in, but they weren't going to scan the 10 off coupon twice.
Only once... because the coupon technically says one per customer, not per transaction.
I was tired of fighting at this point...

I then paid the whole bill with rewards -- which made them even more upset...

I dropped 1500 dollars on serious business supplies back in Dec...
I'm getting tired of being made to feel like a criminal when I simply ask for the
'advertised' deal and try and make use of their 'advertised' coupons, with their
'advertised' trade-ins with their 'advertised rewards'.... *sigh*

I know it's all a game to get me in the store and to upsell me. But they must know
there are people who are going to come in and just want the 'advertised' deal and
that's it!! Why make your customer's feel this way because you advertised it?? *sigh*

Even Bestbuy hasn't pressured me this much recently. No wonder Staples is going out...

Anyway, this deal is for the brave and the bold I suppose... but it's all advertised.
Go prepared though... not every flyer has the 50 trade-in offer printed for the MG5420.
I had the guy look it up online... and I had my smart phone ready to show him.
