This deal expires Monday. To get the deal: Download the Starbucks app on iTunes or on Android. Sign up if it asks for your name, address, and credit card number. When you're ready to get some coffee, tea, or food from a Starbucks, press the "Order" button on the top menu (to the right of the "Pay" menu item). Browse their menu. Search for something like "Iced Coffee," or browse the list of drinks and food categories. Sizes, sweeteners, and other changes can apply after an item has been added to the Order. Place your order by selecting a Starbucks location and applying funds to your online Starbucks account. No need to wait in line when you arrive at Starbucks. Look for your order waiting on the counter, grab, and go. Do this before July 31, and you get Rewards Gold membership status free for 1 year for free.

According to the details of this promotion, Rewards Gold status gives you: 2 Stars per $1 spent. Reward at every 125 Stars. Free birthday reward. Order ahead. Your order ready in under 5 minutes. Free in-store refills on brewed coffee and tea in-store during your same visit (great deal if you want to get out of the home or office, and work from the Wifi at a Starbucks). Receive promotional offers from Starbucks by email (opt-in required to maintain Gold status). According to their complete terms and conditions, Gold status is normally achieved when reaching 300 Stars each year. Presumably, your Gold status will expire after your first year if you do not purchase 300 Stars worth in a year.

How do you accumulate Stars? Just pay with the Starbucks app on your phone. Every purchase will apply the funds from your account, and earn Stars.

Update: Everyone gets free refills on coffee and tea in-store. "Green" status, the basic level that every user of the Starbucks app has, also gets free refills. According to the terms and conditions, "Green Level Rewards," Section 2, anyone who purchases hot or iced brewed coffee or tea with the Starbucks app or a Starbucks Rewards Card gets free refills during the same in-store visit. No limits specified, so you should be able to get unlimited refills for as long as you work, have a meeting, read a book, or hang out in the store.

We have a TP-Link Wifi Smart Plug (which runs for $25 now, occasionally $20), and works really well.

Both products are compatible with Alexa. Alexa gives your voice control over devices in your home. For example, plug a lamp into this Wifi power plug, then say "hey, Aleza, turn on the living room light."

Best Buy is selling their Insignia 4-Device Universal Remote Control for $15 today.

It appears to be nearly identical to an Inteset Remote Control which we purchased a year ago. This remote works like any other standard universal remote control, but can also control streaming media boxes such as a Roku, Apple TV, and Xbox One. It is not as sleek-looking as a Logitech remote, but should give more function than a regular remote that came with your TV.

Each have mostly positive reviews on BestBuy.com. The review site Rtings.com gave the Toshiba a decent review, with good black levels and picture quality, but motion blur which will make sports and games look washed. The Visio's review is better. Even still, both are very good values at $300 and under.
